Colon Cleansing Aids Heart Health and Weight Loss Too (What?)

Bad cholesterol is like a turbo charger to your car except it is taking you in the wrong direction. We’ve all got improvements to make on our diets, if the truth be told. It is virtually impossible to eat a healthy diet unless we’ve been blessed with parents that knew the benefits of healthful eating. They would have been able to instill great eating habits that would pay healthy dividends for years and years to come.

So, were your parents healthy types or non healthy eaters? Sure, it is hard to understand and acknowledge this but you must. Either make changes right now or else. . .you know what will happen.

In fact, most of you reading this today are already in the midst of a medical crisis according to statistics that is. In 2005, 652,091 people died of heart disease (50.5% of them women).  In 2009, heart disease is projected to cost more than $304.6 billion, including health care services, medications, and lost productivity.

Colon cleansing is the process of using certain foods or substances (preferably natural) to push out the matter, particulate and waste by-products that have become lodged in your lower intestine, digestive tract and colon. These substances can become toxic over time and may develop into cancer as well as causing a host of illnesses and symptoms.

When it comes to restoring your health and losing weight by colon cleansing, it all starts with what you eat. What you put into your mouth on a daily basis. We are not talking about the occasional Dunkin Donut here, that won’t kill you. But more importantly, what are you consuming on a daily basis?

Your heart health is directly linked to what you eat everyday. Eating healthy is not a hard or difficult task. We will address just a few points here so you can make sure you lose weight, cleanse your colon and avoid heart disease.

Good Cholesterol or Bad Cholesterol, What is the Difference?

HDL is a type or designation of cholesterol. It is responsible for improving your chances of avoiding hypertension, and  heart attacks. HDL is the “Good cholesterol.”

LDL on the other hand is the bad cholesterol. It responds to higher good (HDL) levels by decreasing its effects on your body and your heart. When to much bad cholesterol circulates in your body it can build up on the lining of your arteries. Over time the heart has to beat much harder and overwork just to keep you alive. This is called hypertension, high blood pressure and some other names to.

If your diet is high in saturated fats, you will likely run the risk of having elevated levels of bad cholesterol (LDL). Some people due to family background are blessed to eat anything they want. It does not matter how high in fat it is, they can eat it and without gaining any weight or doing damage to their arteries. Those people are rare to say the least.

Lose Weight, Eat Right and Do It The Easy Way…

To flush your colon, lose weight and keep your heart healthy you should follow these simple steps.
Instead of waiting for the season of Lent to eat plenty of fish, you should make it a weekly staple. There are many good cookbooks on how to prepare fish. And with so many varieties of species you could set a up a schedule and eat one type each week of the month and not repeat for a 90 days or more.

Fish have an advantage of being very colon and heart health friendly. You could eat:
* Sardines
* Salmon
* Herring

And others could be included here. These are all great sources of Omega 3 essential fatty acids. Doctors now prescribe a product that contains fish oil called Lovaza. It is a pharmaceutical grade Omega 3 fatty acids proven to reduce the damage of the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in your body. Eating fish just makes good sense if you want to lose weight, cleanse your colon and improve your heart health prospects.

Secondly, you need to make smarter choices when it comes to the saturated fats and oils you consume. Look, it is near impossible to get away from all fats, cholesterols, etc. Doing so , would be quite boring to. so trying to make smarter choices is ideal. If you eat meat, butter or even coconut oil you are doing more damage that helping here. Getting to the point of getting rid of them all would be major challenge.

One of my friends went to the doctor. This guy would not exercise or do anything healthy like that. But when his doctor looked him in the eyes and said, “Mike you’ve got to lose weight – NOW or else you are going to die!”

Mike said he literally felt a shiver come over his body when the doctor said that. Have you ever had something like that happen to you? Has your doctor given you an ultimatum about your health problems? It could be smoking or your weight or your diet or your lack of exercise?

Millions of people are getting these jolts everyday and for good reasons. Their health is at jeopardy and doctors should not go along with patients that don’t want to get well. They don’t want to be healthy and are unwilling to make changes to there healthcare. It is sad but true.

No Meat, No Butter, Sounds Like a Boring Meal Unless. . .

Even if your doctor says cut back on the red meat, butter, cheese etc there are always alternatives that will taste better over time. If you love red meat, try seafood and nuts for your primary protein sources. This will recharge you like Tiger Woods swinging a five iron at the Masters Golf Tournament.

When you go to prepare your fish make sure you leave out the Crisco and lard oils. Strive to cook you fish in mono unsaturated fats like olive oils. You can even use the Olive oil in dressings for fresh salads to complete you meal. Topping it off with a Italian bread lightly coated or dipped in Olive oil works wonders for the taste buds.

Did you know that fiber can lead to better weight loss by flushing you colon and helping your heart to? Fiber of the whole grain variety is better for your digestive system. It will control sugar absorption and keep you more regular.

The variety of food choices for healthy fiber include but are not limited to whole grain pasta, brown rice, and lots of vegetables. You don’t have to be a vegetarian in order to flush your colon, lose weight and protect your heart. You can make the smarter choices identified above.

As you take these initial steps to improve your diet, it automatically has bonus benefits for your colon, your heart, your hair, nails etc. Everything you eat impacts your whole body. Keep in mind that it will take time to really establish these new habits. Most of the time we are like a plane that leaves Dallas headed for Cancun Mexico. That plane is off course 80% of the time even when on “auto-pilot”. You can do the same here and still be successful, if you use the tips we’ve given you.
